hostel rules
- All guests must be at least 18 years of age with valid government-issued photo ID. Photocopies will not be accepted. Electronic ID will be accepted in the form of verified government apps.
- Residents of Orleans, Jefferson, and St. Bernard parishes in Louisiana are not permitted to stay.
- We accept all major credit cards or cash for payment. The physical card must be present and in the name of the person presenting it. We have an ATM on-site for your convenience. The minimum amount for credit or debit payments is US$20.00.
- We provide all bed linens and towels and do not allow outside linens, sleeping bags, pillows, comforters, etc. unless medically necessary.
- You may not exceed a room’s maximum occupancy. Dorm beds are reserved for one person only. Double/Twin rooms are for two people. Failure to comply with this rule may result in cancellation of the reservation and a cancellation fee charged to the card on file.
- Check-in begins at 2:00 PM. If arriving before then, you can leave luggage in our living room and use our common areas or go out into the city. The front desk will assist you when you arrive.
- Check-out is at or before 12:00 noon. Guests in private rooms must bring their keys to the front desk by then. Guests in dorms must also bring all of their bedding (sheets, pillow, pillow case, blanket, towel, blanket) and name placard.
- Guests can store bags in our living room after check-out. Guests who have checked out must leave with their bags by 5:00 PM or speak with the front desk for an exception.
- Non-registered guests are not allowed in the pool, on the pool deck, or in guest rooms, and cannot be on the property between the hours of 5:00 PM and 10:00 AM. Purchase of a pool pass grants access to the bathrooms off the courtyard, pool and pool deck between the hours of 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM on the date the pass is purchased.
- We’re open 24 hours a day with staff always on duty. The front door may be locked during the overnight hours – the code is given to all guests at check-in.
- We have WiFi throughout the property, and it covers most rooms and outdoor areas. WiFi availability, signal strength, or internet speed are not guaranteed in any form.
- All indoor areas are non-smoking at all times. Guests who smoke anywhere indoors, including rooms and common areas will be charged a $250 cleaning fee.
- Food and drinks are not allowed in the guest rooms, except for unflavored water. Guests bringing food and other drinks into their rooms will be charged a $250 cleaning and pest treatment fee.
- All stored food must be properly labeled with the guest’s name, room, and check-out date. Food not properly labeled will be discarded and will not be considered stolen.
- The maximum allowed stay is 14 nights in any 30-day period and 28 nights in any 365-day period.
- If you come in late at night, please be respectful to other guests that may be sleeping. Enforced quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 10:00 AM.
- For long reservations or group reservations, a non-refundable deposit may be charged.
- We reserve the right to charge any damages to the property and any unpaid portion of the bill to the credit card used to secure the booking.
- Animals are not allowed on the property, except for service dogs, which are always welcome.
- The hostel is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
- Failure to comply with the above rules may result in cancellation of the remaining reservation at the guest’s expense and/or penalty charges.
code of conduct
- We ask that all guests respect each other and our hostel while they’re staying with us. Guests found to be in violation of our code of conduct are subject to removal from the property and up to a lifetime ban at management’s discretion. Guests removed due to violating the code of conduct are not eligible for a refund of any amount.
- Vandalism will not be tolerated. Vandals will be charged the cost of repairs and may be permanently banned from the property at management’s discretion.
- Discriminatory acts or language will not be tolerated. Everyone is welcome, except for those who act to make others feel unwelcome.
- Harassment of guests or staff will not be tolerated.
