India House International Backpackers is a unique New Orleans hostel offering dorm beds, private rooms, and extended-stay accommodation for travelers and workers visiting the city. Located in Mid-City near the Canal Street streetcar, the property provides easy access to the French Quarter, City Park, and downtown New Orleans. Guests can choose between social hostel dorms, private rooms with bathrooms, or longer-stay rooms, while enjoying shared amenities including a swimming pool, communal kitchen, laundry facilities, and large outdoor courtyard areas.

Social Travel

There’s no corporate art at India House. Okay, there might be a few prints we got because they look cool. But there are dozens of murals and original artworks all through the common areas and the guest rooms.

IH isn’t in the French Quarter. We’re ten minutes away by streetcar in a quiet residential neighborhood. Even if you’re a party animal, everybody needs a quiet day between crazy nights.
